The other route you could consider is having a provision in the purchase contract that requires the new owner to keep the old tenants in their current lease or possibly for some prescribed amount of time in order for them to get their new housing situation figured out. either way, hopefully one of these options helps in finding a solution for your current tenants. best of luck 🤝🍀

The Secretary shall prescribe regulations with respect to the circumstances under which use of the unit for repairs and annual maintenance will not constitute personal use under this paragraph, except that if the taxpayer is engaged in repair and maintenance on a substantially full time basis for any day, such authority shall not allow the Secretary to treat a dwelling unit as being used for personal use by the taxpayer on such day merely because other individuals who are on the premises on such day are not so engaged."

may sound confrontational, but just because you might willingly swallow a new pill prescribed by your doctor, that does not mean you should blindly follow advice from your legal team. ( You pay doctors and lawyers, but it is actually up to YOU to do follow the right path.
