If someone were onboarding with a new property management (PM), is it customary for the PM to be asked to be added additional insured to a homeowners insurance policy? 

I imagine if you found a completely vacant one it would be easier to get the city on board for conversion. 

Onboarding was incredibly onerous and confusing (they'll schedule a phone call with you so they can have someone walk you through it), and once you get a reservation, communication with guests is difficult and they do not process payment for you.  

I would advise you if this is with a family member who is really on board assess whether the family member is a good fit.

If I want to get some ducks in a row before pitching to my network, would I just be searching for an investor-friendly attorney and underwriter, and get them on board with my plan so that as soon as I have some folks hooked, they're ready to underwrite?

@Sherri Spruill After years of hosting weddings and events and then sitting on boards approving new venues my number one recommendation is to make certain you have more bathrooms than you ever could possibly hope to need for the number of people you might have.
