I've tried to do a search online for books on the characteristics of a building in terms of design, architecture, and construction i.e. what is a parapet, what are the different types of doors (double-hinged, storefront glass), what are the available roof systems, what is a knee-wall, what are the different styles of flooring, the differing fixtures and fascias, etc...

The size of the rehab might decide the type of designer you need for the project.

It’s also for the added benefit of designing and building it myself, although these could be headache for a lot of people.
