Design: where do I start?

Ok, so I’m under contract and need to start building the vision for this rehab, where do I start? I’m a visual person and like to have a visual representation of my vision. I don’t like to just pray the contractor had the same image for the finished product as I had. Sketch artist? Architect? Interior designer? Who are the people I need on my team?
