Due to COVID-19, court closures, resulting heavy dockets, and attempts of mediation, we lost eight months of rent plus added eviction fees.

And the judges even after they rule in your favor will try for “mediation” !!

None of the moneys went to renters or landlords, just a system to mediate a payment plan for those who have fallen behind on rent rather than sending evictions through the local courts.Super frustrating.

During mediator said there was nothing she could do because it had not been six months.

And if there’s too much damage then obviously you have asbestos mediation to worry about that drives up the cost.

Of course as a practical matter, lawsuits take time/money and would make it more difficult to find alternative housing, so course of action to consider is finding a trusted third party/relative to be mediator of this dispute with Aunt/Aunt's Father.
