Resident chef is a rockstar, plan is for hearty Mexican fare.

You also get a chef that has cooked the same meal a thousand times, so they are likely to do better than you can at home. 

There are also great dining & drinking options as lots of big city chefs moved up to Truckee to "retire".

Too many chefs in the kitchen never produce what you want.  

That was awesome watching those chefs cut the steak off the cow and cooking it right in front of your eyes.

I've heard nothing but good things about that city, and the Chef's Table episode featuring Chef Enrique Olvera and his restaurant Pujol in Mexico City was enthralling when they traveled to Oaxaca.

Not everyone is a chef.
