You run the numbers on the project and stress test it.

Without knowing all of your specifics, I'd say that it's only worth holding on to if you can reasonably expect to have some really good appreciation in the near future (like 5 yrs)....Or, in the case where it would run well as a vacation rental, you could switch the usage, maybe?

Completing the setup will likely lead to smoother operations and peace of mind in the long run.

I'm curious what others have run into when comps are very limited. 

Start by networking with local investors, identifying target neighborhoods, running numbers on potential deals, and lining up financing so you're ready to act when the right opportunity comes up!

However, I just answered my own question right after I posted, so I really want to delete my post so when I look back in 5 years I won't hit myself in the head for not figuring it out before posting. :)

At least 20 times a week I am shaking my head and at a loss for some of the stuff we deal with regarding guests. 

Once the TSMC is really up and running, it will only amplify that.
