Which means sometimes they stop paying, and you've got an anchor around your neck.The last time we moved into a slow RE economy, (mid to late '80s) a lot of people who were convinced they were geniuses in RE went BANKRUPT because they were sitting on a lot of RE with payments going out and no money coming in.I'm a big believer in SLOW.

My lending led to partnerships which led to other industries, but finance and RE was the anchor.

It can be really nice to have a long term tenant anchor a property. 

Rigging the hinges with longer screws, toothpicks, or putting in plastic hole anchors, three common quick-fixes, would be too flimsy for my rental properties and probably yours.
