This is a long shot, probably takes some googling, but DoD does a housing survey to gather info for BAH.

Assuming most of the homes are relatively similar in age and construction, you can make an adequate survey in about 15 minutes.

I think you're asking that question in terms of those remodelling surveys that say "you get back 80% of a kitchen remodel, 75% of a bathroom remodel."

All that's required is city approval getting a survey done and then getting a lawyer to draft up a few documents, such as reserve fund study, individual condo plans and titles, condo association and whatever else.

The expense of the condo conversion depends on what is needed to achieve the standards demanded by the market - in addition to the application fees, zoning fees, lawyer fees, permit fees, survey fees, etc.

But many times they dont have a search or survey and you may have to gamble a little by paying for a search up front only to find a bunch of leins.
