If you have a softener or filtration equipment like an iron filter, it'd likely be best for you to setup a quarterly PM from a local water treatment company to ensure your filters are changed out regularly and salt is added to the brine tank - especially if you have a boiler.PM me for a couple references of companies that work in the area...my family's business is in water treatment for commercial and industrial applications in the Midwest, but we have a couple companies we refer residential folks to.

In the process of turning over an apartment, and the cast iron tub (previously refinished) has a small size chip on it.Less than the size of a dime.Called a few refinish companies and the cost for a complete refinish is $400 but to repair this chip is $300 because it's the same setup. 

@James Carlson I thought you mentioned that the City was working to get this ironed out.

And you are correct, no pex (or pvc) in Chicago, all cast iron and copper. 

You will want your lease ironed out by the time you start showing the place.

I plan on doing the work in June..just asking questions now to iron out details I'll be sure to post some pictures throughout.

We believe we have found a good possible tenant for our space and I'm looking to get everything ironed out so the lease aspect is really the final part.Thanks in advance.

Ironically, I am a licensed CPA (not a Tax specialist though), so I do understand the legal trouble that could come with giving any individual tax advice so I will refrain from doing so.
