Michelle, I feel 100% sure you are a wonderful PM and worth more than you get paid. That said, you're in a profession full of shysters, so don't be surprised of the hordes of angry owners badmouthing PMs. 99% of the PMs out there deserve it.It's like being the one, great, trustworthy used car salesman and being angry that used car salesmen have such a bad rap - because you're not that way.You won't be able to change people's opinion of the profession, because you happen to be in a profession that is rife with rip-off artists.

A lot of laws allowing seizure are appalling in the power they give officers and departments and by and large are ignored because people/ judges appear to have the opinion that "if you're dumb enough to lend your car/house/airplane to a drug user you deserve what you get" or "if you're mistaken for a drug dealer there's probably something fishy going on because innocent people don't just get mistaken like that".Not all police departments will take advantage of a person, but some do and it's those few that tarnish the reputation of cops in general.

But, hey, I hope his/her idiocy means you make more money. This sounds like a Mexican neighborhood, And in my opinion, in growing up with a best friend who was Mexican, as well as many in my life since then in California, the neighborhood probably has no problem, whatsoever, with this person doing business as a babysitter or a seamstress. If your owner is stupid enough to pay for the costs involved in evicting a Mexican person in an Mexican neighborhood, because she was trying to make a living - then he deserves everything he/she gets. And don't think for a second, that his "reputation" won't hurt him in finding another good tenant.Welcome to Mexi-Cal.
