I am Sitting in a house I just bought that had so much dog pee the finish on the hardwood peeled off in half the house, the windows are brown with cigarette smoke, and a 40 something hoarder lady died in it.

One side did have beautiful hardwoods, but they needed to be refinished and repaired.

All new plumbing, electrical, windows, hardwood floors, siding, roof, etc etc.

I already know a good plumber, but you can't have too many of those - so I'd be interested in your plumbing recommendations.Also if you know a hardwood floor specialist I'd be interested in that.

Is it better to keep replacing carpet or put something that looks like hardwood flooring.

Look for the ones staged for showings or new hardwoods, updated kitchens, updated bathrooms, etc.
