There are some horror stories out there (none affiliated with loans I originated :P ). 

Especially when you can go to any other affiliated CW in the chain at no extra cost.

Also to receive the stated buyer commission on a listed deal(without having to get a commission agreement from the listing broker) you have to have an affiliation with that local MLS board.....but most have a reciprocal agreement with almost all others in the state.

The source of our data is a division of First American Title called Core Logic or RealQuest (we have no affiliation with them whatsoever).They are the industry standard for real estate mailer data for all types of real estate, in my opinion.

Get involved in a local REIA, specifically those affiliated with OREIA, to find out what’s going on locally before blindly jumping in.

I was reading an article a few weeks ago (I think on builderonline) that was about the houses in Louisianna that Brad Pitt was affiliated with after the hurricane.

People and companies pay referral fees all the time they call them Affiliate programs/Referral Fees.  

The new ocean is almost everyone officially affiliated with section 8, as well as the tenants on it that you will now be forced to deal with. 

I could get full service representation including MLS alerts, showings etc all the way thru closing and save $22000 on commissions.Brokers align themselves with GoldenKey( and keep working at their same REMAX, ColdwellBanker etc) because GoldenKey sends them volumes of quality buyers & sellers.I don't have any affiliation with GoldenKey.. i just wanted to share with you and your wonderful friend realtor that you both have other options !
