There's nothing "wimpy" about being genuine.  

It's up to sellers to decide what they want for a home it seems to me in the USA, and that may not reflect it's genuine value at all.

Sending out physical letters seem more genuine and have a much better chance of actually being opened.

@Jay Hinrichs knows his stuff and is genuinely trying to help guide you as others are on this thread. 

It feels like I'm being "talked down to" by someone who thinks I'm too dumb to figure out that it's not a genuine handwritten letter.

And in THIS case I genuinely believe (KNOW) that a neat credible professional typed letter with company letterhead, a local number, a picture of the person they are dealing with will do a LOT more for credibility and this weird letter "a stranger" wrote me wanting to buy my house in cash...

My message is hand-written and genuine. 

Why do you ask BP for advice on sending letters (i.e. interacting genuinely with other humans).

I absolutely support networking with realtors, I just genuinely did not understand what role a realtor specifically has in a wholesale transaction.
