They'll rebuild the thing instead of just giving me back what I have into it.State Farm for the win this time :) (I have to add that I didn't go through them for my 8-plex because they were much higher than Berkshire Hathaway Guard.)This may sound harsh but that is not my intention at all.

Does anyone have any creative ideas of how a city and local investors can work together to ensure that all properties are safe, habitable and reasonably well-kept without instituting such a harsh, blanketed ordinance meant to keep some of the 'bad apples' in compliance?

@Josh Hinkle - As an investor and Realtor in the area, one of the more exciting condos in PCB is Tower III (calypsotoweriii.com/) -- They were originally Calypso Tower III, but due to legal issues with Calypso Towers I and II, they decided to break off to avoid that drama (Hence, they're just called "Tower III" now.)

For example, many CA people will tell you how they would never move to xyz state or states because of lack of jobs, lack of diversity, lack of scenery, conservative mindset, harsh weather etc etc.
