I'm an IT professional and I also have a background in operations and project management, which I think also lends itself well to being successful in many facets of RE.

Even at my age of 66, I have another 30 years to go and I’m excited to learn a new facet of the RE business especially one that fits my needs better than managing dozens of SFR rentals!  

Be very educated in all facets of creative financing and tax mitigation..

If they're coming down in past 6 months say 5-7%, while inflation has averaged about 8% increase in the last 6 months then the house value technically has lost value in both facets.

Lumber again is just one facet of it. 

I'm married now with a son and don't need as many relationships but at your age it's vital.

Though I'm new I'd love to meet investors in the NYC area face to face and possibly help out in any facet I can to gain some hands on knowledge from the veterans.
