Hey everyone my name is Tony I am a graduate from Stony Brook U I am 23 and located in the New York City area. I am making the transition from my current 9-5 to becoming a full time real estate investor. I've been researching this site for a while and I've noticed its one of the greatest sources of real estate information on the internet. I plan on joining my local REIA this month and have read the great Ebook provided by biggerpockets and numerous others just like it for newbies like me.

I am beginning my first direct mail campaign to absentee owners this month I will be using real quest for comps and listings. I will also be forming an S corp this month and have found a closing attorney.

I'd love to hear from members who are familiar with the NYC/Long Island market or any market in regards to what to expect, what should my team consist of, the best counties in New York for wholesaling etc .Essentially reaching out for guidance and possible mentorship for a ambitious young man with admitted limited real estate knowledge (outside of podcasts and what Ive read on the internet) trying to escape the rat race. Though I'm new I'd love to meet investors in the NYC area face to face and possibly help out in any facet I can to gain some hands on knowledge from the veterans. I'm aware it's not going to be easy but I'm here for the long haul any bit of advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
