While there are some great projects underway, most are very small scale - just a few city lots at a time.I've worked with one on the East Side and in addition to growign vegetables in the summer, they have a hoop house for year-round cool-weather produce, a lot with fruit trees, a lot with chickens and goats and they purchased the old, abandoned corner store and turned it into a community center with a library, computers and meeting area.

In our local area, we have fruit packing house tours, four or five of the 21 California Missions are within an hours drive, visiting wine country and all the tasting rooms to our north (use a designated driver, please), there is Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Yellowstone, Glacier National Park......All of the above are just the things in the United States.

My point in all of this is that it has little to do with securitization, which is nothing more than taking a basket of small securities (the individual loans), putting them into a larger basket, slicing that basket up into pieces with some degree of cash-flow predictability.
