You can't just be professional, you have to be trustworthy.  

Assuming the trustworthy individual wouldn't have to be evicted, is that a stupid idea?

The median housing prices on that track are 165k+ but I know that doesn't necessarily mean squat but just thought I would mention.Partner is very trustworthy as I have a longstanding relationship with him and I just need some guidance if there is any other information I am missing and need to obtain or if everything seems to be in order.PS The short sale cost was thru a Realtor and the mortgage on the loan will run about $1000/month.Any words of encouragement, skepticism, or help would be appreciated.

When setting the criteria, is the accuracy trustworthy, or is there a discrepancy?

We are not too worried about tieing it up asap since our mentor is already in the process@Jeremy Tillotson I have other reasons to believe he is trustworthy, i.e. he has known and worked with my dad for a pretty long time.

If you feel he is a good trustworthy contractor that will complete the work in a professional matter and you have a good relationship with him it might be worth it.  

I think everyone that manages from afar is just managing their property manager (PM) and that person or company has to be reputable and trustworthy.

The part of him being trust worthy because he has done it for years on his own is bit off center.

And that was the time when I was serious scammed by an unethical wholesaler and it's set my investing back years trying and sort it out.Mark Ramsey is right, the wholesaler probably had some pressure to meet a deadline, but if you were feeling that there was something more going on, or that he wasn't completely trustworthy, then he probably wasn't.Never ignore your gut.

If you let investors here on BP know what market you will be investing in, then there is a very good chance that someone will be willing to assist you with trustworthy contractors and property managers, maybe even an occasional drive-by of your property.
