From the inspirational speakers, you are what you believe you are.Why not in parallel start doing for yourself what you quest for on the job?

The speaker promised in the 3-day workshop, I would learn:- everything about how to do real estate wholesale- make $5K in the first 3 months after the workshop- get 2-day one-on-one training on successfully closing wholesale dealsIn 3-day workshop:- trainers told wholesale, flipping, buy and hold, rental- trainers promised me free access to Property Farm (Doug Hopkins' Reals Estate Formula software) for 3 months.

Would like to do something similar to what Ann Bellamy did in Massachusetts, she talks about it in one of the podcasts, http://www.meetup.com/Black-Diamond-Real-Estate-In...Would like to create a group that is informational, and conducive to networking so we all do more deals and make more money, with NO selling speakers, gurus, or any other hard sells.  

And at the meetings, there are different speakers who are proven to be successful on the subject that they are speaking on.  

At least these are the issues the previously mentioned speaker brought up.As I said I am not a commercial guy, but this is the direction I plan on moving in the future...so I pay attention when people talk commercial.

Like the BiggerPockets podcast, his shows are always on new topics and he has some amazing guest speakers (i.e. investors, economists, realtors/brokers, bankers/lenders, government officials, etc).

If you are wanting just REI cheerleading, there are speakers coming to an airport Hilton near you to visit instead of a financial planner.My advice for anybody thinking that a financial planner might be right for them, look for the CFP (TM) designation.
