Does anyone have suggested property management companies they've used in Florida that they can recommend I reach out to, to see if we're a good fit for each other?

@Ajay Bodas I have heard the same recommendation from my 1031 Intermediary and tax guy, but they both also said, "It Depends"... following this post to see what some other smart members know!

I'm looking for neighborhood recommendations in the Sarasota area for a short/mid-term single family or townhome investment in the 400k-500k range.

If the home has a really nice layout or beautiful interior and it's not getting many showings, I would definitely recommend a video tour.

I'd recommend looking at costs. your build cost is going to be well over other homes because of the fixed costs like slab, Hvac, roof, etc. check the market drivers and weight the benefits of short term versus long term. long term is no furniture and help pays mortgage but at this size it doesn't really cover everything. we didn't find a lot of economies of scale in single family detached. can you build more than one unit?
