In the beginning, I had a little grumbling from my PM because the tenant would not like it or they would leave but I found it was mostly because it was more work for him and he did not to do it.

so you have a sharp rancid stench piercing thru the house. you wrote "a skunk likely" meaning you aren't sure. still, someone has to check it out, either you(free of charge) or rodent control (not free of charge). afterwards you might want to find out how it got in and seal it somehow so you won't be going thru this a few weeks later. rodent control (if you go that route )will have advice on how to get rid of the odor. otherwise I'm sure that there's at least few youtube videos on DIY for it. though it might take a few days to completely be gone, best of luck.kudos,Mary

We don't put carpeting in any rental unit because a) it doesn't last, b) it holds odors, c) tenants prefer no carpeting.

As per our lawyer it is legal…I also itemized a list of repairs/remediation for my own kicks (odor removal, patch and pain holes in walls, scratches in floor from dog…) they have $8.89 left according to that.Either way...big development!!!

I'm in the middle of a full remodel and the carpeting and linoleum had to go - one due to pet odors and the other due to age and poor repair.

It makes some pretty distinctive odors, though I can't tell you want they are.
