Skunk died somewhere in the house

A skunk, likely, has died under or in the attic of a house. The house SMELLS HORRIBLE! Is it possible to remove the smell if it has permeated the structure? Obviously, removing the body is going be one of the first things to get done.

Thanks in advance!

In Baltimore City, you would be fined for a hazardous condition.
