Just wanted to drop a note to make sure that the person you hire does appropriate subfloor assessment / prep - LVP can be very sensitive to imperfections in the subfloor, and from what I've heard, not all installers will account for that.

I will definitely look into the big box discounts on appliances (especially those with some cosmetic imperfections).

In Southcentral Alaska, where there are big snow loads and a freeze/thaw/freeze pattern throughout the winter, the ice can damage seams or imperfections in the roof surface and cause premature leaks, which lead to mold and other issues.

Just make sure your floor drains work and ideally use tile instead of carpet or lvp (tile can also batter hide imperfections that show up in basement floors).
