Be open to what comes and in my experience you'll have a much better time abroad.Your strategy seems part investment and part home-buyer here.Putting the pieces together here:  if you have a home in your sights that works financially, you are down to fully furnish it (Airbnb style super cute stuff), and you would be delighted with living there 2.5 years later OR continuing to operate it as a rental (either STR or LTR depending on what is most opportune at the time) then I'd so go for it!
