I'm looking for a multifamily/mother-daughter/2 family house in either Nassau or Suffolk county NY

My daughter screens her tenants & has always had a great rapport with them.Here is a notice to vacate she just received from a young couple who bought their first home.

My daughter lives in a POA (property owner assoc.) where the bylaw is clear that the occupant either must be on the deed to the property, and child, grandchild, or parent of someone on the deed. 

His daughter is now upset that I will not return Octobers rent and is saying that electrical is my problem.

She told me that she did not want her apartment to be sprayed because her 20 year old daughter has asthma.  

Find out if she's willing to do that for 3-4 years, then you guys could have multiple multi-family investments, then buy a primary home in a good school district when your son or daughter is about to start school.

My future father in law is most interested in ensuring his daughter's interests were I to do this as a business full time, and leave my day job, asking for 30% of the appreciation of the value of the business or 5% of the appreciation of the value of the business if I continue to be an investor in the business as a "secondary" job.

Both my daughters did the same (with a little push) & it's paid off in spades.

My daughter is trying to do the same thing in the Washington DC area now and having trouble finding anything close to that good.
