Ethics is not really you religious convictions, but ethical conduct includes religious standards, no to steel, pay as agreed, keeping a promise, no lying, don't deceive, treat others as you want to be treated.

I believe @Michael Quarles or @Sharon Vornholt practice this religiously. 

California has always been a world leader in so many ways and I don't think that's over just yet.
