Therefore, I'm uncertain if my past experience will aid me in finding a suitable real estate agent for investment purposes.

Also, I've learned the hard way of believing a lender can do something too cheap or too unusual even if that say they can, from having them deciding they won't fund at the last minute.

Unless your family is just huge or you have an unusually large house I wouldn’t just necessarily recommend ruling out a house hack.
