A landlord often has sentimental attachment to his house: its my first property, it reminds me of my childhood, I had and brought up my kids in this house; it must not be sold because my father bequeathed it to me….etc.Ok.

Nothing is 100% just what I see day in and day out and investor & lender sentiment in the market.

I have no sentiments about any location as long as it meets my investment critaria.

As a newcomer here (who is still in the "learning" process), I think that I would echo the sentiments of those who cited reasons that fall into the "fear of hard work" and "fear of risk".For some, I think that money plays a very significant role.

For those operators who treat short term rental as a business, this is a great opportunity.I don't expect that property owners booking the occasional event or those operating under the radar will echo my sentiment.
