One does not have to be a millionaire to be comfortable and happy.And even the poorest of folks in our country don't have to walk for hours crossing a field where lions seek you for diner just to get to the nearest river of somewhat contaminated water and then back to a village carrying the heavy bucket just to have a drink.

The bottom 3,800 sq ft is office and storage in an "open floor plan".My question, without having seen it yet or talking with the village.

These farmers were assisted by private money lenders operating out of the local villages.

The inspectors were going to be laid off as well; the village made a decision to have them inspect EVERY HOUSE that went into foreclosure BEFORE it went on the market.They would even go in the crawlspace (apparently, they didn't have much else to do with their time) & write up EVERYTHING.So what happens?

You don't say how old you are, or how soon you plan on retiring, but some things I can tell you from the "far side" of retirement are:Locales change; what looks like a quaint village today might be a major crossroads in as little as 10 years.

We have been negotiating with the village and have had some success gaining interest with our concept plan.
