Some states will allow senior citizens to direct the county to send tax bills to family members as well that way you can help them navigate the issues as they come up.Tax laws vary from state to state and sometimes from county to county within a state, so you should seek out an attorney for advise... at the least you can contact the tax collector's office and/or clerk of court to make some inquiries on behalf of your grandparents.
