They will bicker about whose spot has more sunshine, other tenants or neighboring kids will steal their tomatoes, someone will swipe the cute little solar spinning flower from one of the gardens, some tenants won't take care of their plots and they'll look like hell, some will use chemicals the other tenants will complain about, someone will steal the hoses.

I'll throw in another comment since my above comment seems a bit harsh : )   I would suggest telling the agent/landlord that you will agree to an open house once a week say sundays or saturdays 12-4  if the agent and landlord agree to schedule all showing during that time and no other showings outside of the open house.

You sound like a good guy, but I'm going to be harsh here: your reasons sound to me like a bunch of excuses for a guy that (maybe rightly so) doesn't want to buy a new dryer 7 months in and so is trying to delay as long as possible to keep from spending the money, in the hopes it can be fixed under warranty or some other way.

The area is geographically constrained on west by the Pacific Ocean, on south by Mexico, on north by Camp Pendleton base, and east quickly gets harsh.
