This is why we have been planning on moving to western NC in the mountains as short term rentals have been successful there for a long time now and with so many outdoor activities, blue ridge parkway, ski resorts, and nice towns and cities etc. we feel this would be the best place to start. 

Hendo had a big hotel and parking deck approved last year - not sure of the status on that.All to say, it won't be the quaint western NC mountain towns most folks think of when they hear "Asheville" for very long...but likely good for investors.

The central and east of the state has tried to secede from WA, forming a new state with northern ID and western MT called Columbia. 

I focus on adaptive reuse strategies, particularly with historic buildings, and I led the repositioning of assets throughout the Western United States.

I am actually living on the the western portion i just described.

They do not "shame" is the banks into funding the mortgages, they are an activist organization that won lawsuits for predatory lending practices against these banks, which are now required to lend in neighborhoods where they have banking branches.

I have a few in Western Carolina that are booked most weekends for the rest of the year but the fall is always good in that market.
