I went to the Best Ever Conference last month, and the keynote speaker was John Chang, Vice President of research at Marcus & Millichap.  

As part of the event, we network with other like-minded investors and host speakers who talk about topics related to real estate investment.

I am also a public speaker, author, sometimes radio show host, and if I was better looking I would have a TV show (been interviewed 6 times) All of those things fall under my real estate umbrella.  

Great speakers that share a lot of valuable info.

The speaker is discussing land trusts, which would be great info for you as you are working to build your portfolio.

They meet the 1st Thursday of each month and have different speakers discussing different topics.

We had BiggerPockets Ben Leybovich as our guest speaker and he helped break down expenses and cap ex and investing strategies. 

A speaker at a wealth building conference advised us to set up Roth IRAs for our children early in their lives to take advantage of the longer compounding time until they reach retirement age.

I've attended a local wholesaling seminar and hit a few of the REIA meetings (last TBREIA meeting had Tracy Caywood as a speaker which was very cool!).
