New in real estate world, let's start from...China!
Hi guys! My name is Gianmarco, I just discovered this great forum, so here I am!
I just moved from Italy to Shanghai where I would like to start a new life, possibily doing business or other kind of investments. I am passionate about real estate investments, but I just got graduated and never had the chance to start dealing with it.
I think the time to get started with real estate investments has arrived. Since a couple of days I've started reading some books and listening to audio and podcasts. I am looking forward to join some events and meetings about international real estate in the next weeks.I have no job yet and really few money. Do you guys have any suggestion for me on how can I start? Is Shanghai a good place to start? What should be my next step? And most important, is there anyone here who lives in China, or better in Shanghai, who wanna connect with me, or help me find my way toward real estate investing?
Thanks in advance, I'm glad to have found such a nice community here.
Looking forward to connect with all of you guys!!

Hey Gianmarco,
Good to hear you're taking the plunge in real estate! It's a great business and there is always, always something to learn.
As far as China, everything I hear from people there is that the market is overheated. Might want to look at some basic metrics like median income to home price ratio to see what's going on there. I do know that capital is flowing out of China and bidding up markets like Australia, so there might be a reason.
Would be interested to know what you see happening there. China is certainly the next frontier!
