The economy is diverse and composed of many different job sectors making it to a certain degree more "recession proof" than other markets.

Multi family, office, hotel, and many commercial loan sectors are in a spiral downward.

Austin mayor takes away the only stick we have, all the while the county continues to raise taxes, the low income sector is getting squeezed.  

My sector is different though in commercial because high net worth clients it's about the long term relationship and getting full service.With residential and cheap investor houses I can see lots of " one and done " deals where buyers do not see value in brokers/agents.

Do your research, target your sector, and attack and be persistent.

Well there has already been a significant shedding of thousands of jobs in the energy sector here in Houston.
