ok thanks.wondering if its legal to require a deposit for what could be construed as a device prescribed to cope with a disability..

(Disabled vets,etc)

Tenant informed us of receiving disability and did not inform us of having a pet dog.

Their income was great but their credit was bad and the income was all from disability, child support, workman's comp, etc.  

The ADA is meant to protect a disabled person regarding privacy.

another tenant type that we rented to under the program were senior or disabled single people, typically living on Social Security or disability.We never had a problem filling units when we put "SECTION 8 OK" in our ads. 

So as an aside, I can clean our lake house in about 7 hours all in ready for the next guest and I have a pretty significant disability.

But you need to supply the term.It sort of reminds me of how people used to be crippled and then they became disabled and then they were special needs and now they're different-abled or something (I think).

I have service connected disability compensation but in no way does it hinder me!

Contractor by morning, investor by afternoon, but by night........secretly typing away at the next best seller...Landlords have the right to ask someone to prove they are disabled - unless it's obvious that they are disabled.
