The cost is high, retail sector is out of hand, so it's nice to get our money out of NY.My CPA is in New York (it's my wife).

There are a lot of other sectors of business that are starting to feel these restrictions now and more layoffs will happen.

SS is actually a very good deal when you consider all the benefits as matching those in the private sector just wouldn't be affordable for most starting out.   

I ask because I'm looking at commercial investing next to shelter capital from the eventual real estate crash, but am also having a hard time with the commercial sector vs the ease of assessing single family homes as investments, managing, etc.
