It sounds like Pittsburgh (city) is now declaring housing as a human right.  

If a tenant declares bankruptcy or just refuses to leave without the police knocking, it just takes longer.

For one, the interest rates for borrowing are very high compared to here, people tend to not declare everything they earn in Brazil due to the stigma of their tax money going to the corrupt government, therefore from my experience my family over there tends to buy property in cash saving a very long time to make that happen.

The city has declared bankruptcy and they are actually bulldozing abandoned houses on the outskirts of the city to reduce the cities footprint.

Once you are in more it is like a muscle the more you strengthen it the stronger it gets.  

The tenant wasn't medically declared as disabled and miraculously managed to walk out of the apartment (with assistance from her partner).

if you have 1mo vacany, which might be too much in this high rental demand market.. but you are in self-declared class C... and if the economy turns its agressive... 

I know I have to declare with IRS and in Canada.. any tips on this would help.

ensuring the condominium was properly created, the condo association has competent leadership & is properly funded, the condominium has strong declarations/rules/regulations that are enforced, etc. are important due diligence questions.
