Eviction of Disabled Person

BP,

I have a tenant in Philadelphia, PA. that is scheduled to be evicted by the Sheriff within the next several weeks. The caveat with this eviction (at least from my perspective) is that the tenant is sickly and will likely be bed-ridden. The tenant and her partner are aware of the pending visit from the sheriff (served with all writs), but they do not know which day this will transpire on. I'm inclined to give them a heads up regarding when the Sheriff will be arriving, but I have some reservations. Will the tenant's health have any bearing in the Sheriff's ability to evict them? Have you all had a similar experience? Looking forward to your response.

Sometimes being a landlord sucks. But if you don't take care of yourself you'll get pulled down that hole too. I can talk your ear off about my disablilities, but I know what's gonna happen if I don't pay my bills, or alternately make sure the money's there so someone can do it for me.  I know you have a heart. If you wanna help, give to an appropriate local charity, or the Salvation Army. Me, I would keep my distance. You're stressed enough I'm sure, without any unjustifiable wrath that may come your way by making contact. They already know it's coming at this point. Let the sheriff do his job. His warning is posted. If they want to be forcibly removed, then that's their plan.
