Owning an STR in Phoenix or Dallas is not the same as owning one in Destin or the Outer Banks.

There are still lots of buyers out there right now purchasing and obviously each market varies, but the market has a long history of being a tourist destination and the investor is providing a quality product to the renter, in our market they are still seeing great returns.   

Hi Sam, I started in your shoes...I lived in southern CA and began investing in the Smoky Mountains based on it being a huge travel destination / traditional vacation market. 

The city of Sedona invests lots tax dollars into marketing the town as a tourist destination.

I use "Dunes" style in "Destin" color.I am in process of second identical bath remodel,,,who says you cant copy from unit to unit so dont have piles of left overs,,,I can use parts and pieces from one to next.

Additionally, the pedestrian users do distract some, but the large, active core group here on the site tend to do a great job of staying focused.We're working on a few ideas which should help those newbies and should cut down on many of the most basic repeat questions . . . hopefully that will come together in the next few weeks.We're always looking at ways to benefit our users and at ideas that will make this an even more powerful destination for both novice and experienced investors to learn, network, and ultimately, to make money via deal making.I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and ideas and hope we can better our network to best serve all our users.
