Where there's WAY too much corruption, government waste, and bureaucracy that it's almost impossible for the locals, without "connections", to run successful business' therefore not being able to stimulate the local economy.Having said all that... no one can dispute the absolute beauty of the island.

We could also make a massive real tax cut simply by implementing a true aggressive policy of oil productions, drilling, shale, etc approve everything and watch the oil bubble deflate, after all gas was only $1.75 gallon a few years ago, talk about putting money in pockets - stimulating jobs etc with new spending.on and on we could go - it's not difficult.Productivity keeps improving.Debt per Capita - Even Germany has a higher debt per capita and as a % of GDP.Remove some of the current hindrances and watch our economy grow.Rich, you and I both know that even the shadow inventory will one day, suddenly disappear, before anyone knows it, when the pent up demand starts working again.We are holding ourselves back with wasted spending, rules that thwart bussiness, anti profit rules, etc.

they do call it bigger pockets and many who are on this site wish to scale their business's . we see it all the time with the landlords IE hey I went from zero to 50 doors in 37 days type of posts and those excite and stimulate those just getting into the business.So I don't think its not appropriate to talk about other facets of the business and how folks have scaled those.

Even if we knew that, we wouldn’t be able to guess the lending institutions appetite for lending even more money.We also can’t predict this Federal Reserve, the governments ability to raise debt ceilings and fiscally stimulate the economy, or a miriad of other variables.
