I have advertised for non-smokers and get smokers... sometimes they don't read.

He had had a stroke a few months ago and has been suffering with cluster headaches ever since.He is probably only 50 years old and in good shape but a smoker.

We just turned an apartment previously occupied by a heavy smoker.

Did you see today the news that Carraba's, Outback and Bonefish Grill are closing 40 restaurants? 

It was a foreclosure where the prior owner allowed it to be trashed - the furnace didn't work so the prior tenants were using a charcoal grill indoors to keep warm (and there was soot on the walls where it was). 

You have no further obligation to these people, if they press tell them you do not rent to smokers and hang up.
