You’re not buying ownership, but you’re securing a share of the cash flow, which can be appealing for passive investors.For property owners, the trade-off is receiving immediate liquidity in exchange for sharing future cash flow.

On the other hand, since we're a smaller PUD, our assessments may simply need to be higher since there are fewer cabins sharing the costs.

I have been to RE meetups in the past with like-minded everyday investors pursuing similar goals, sharing stories and learning from each other, running through numbers, sharing network contacts, and even doing deals together.

Sometimes they have a pre-determined amount they are willing to share, sometimes they say they are willing to pay but the amount must be negotiated. 

Sharing proceeds can be documented through a contract or settlement agreement without title changes.
