Partnerships are definitely possible and can be rewarding, but I would just make sure the relationship is outlined thoroughly and both members are contributing to the deal in some way. 

If the sale with wrap was a good risk/reward investment it will be profitable, dispite any “bumps” along the way.  

But you get to do it on your terms, and if you do it right, you get handsomely rewarded.
