Those of us that have a lot of experience with real estate can look from the outside and see this train wreck coming, but a lot of the people who lost money with MI/Oceanpointe were people who didn't have that level of experience, the same way someone who knew stocks and companies might have seen that my stock holdings in Ford and GM in the late 2000's were headed for disaster.

@Benjamin Ford I did my undergrad in Norfolk (at ODU) and lived off campus every year in Norfolk besides my freshman year.

If Ford was still only producing the Model T, it would have been left behind nearly a century ago. 

I work at Ford Motor Company at the Kentucky Truck Plant so I can listen to podcasts, audiobooks, and even ibooks for ten hours a day.   

I always try to add value, ask the FORD questions, and find ways I can help them out.

Think about what happened in Detroit with relation to GM and Ford.  

Pretty sure Henry Ford didn't even attend college.  

@Steve Sun look for "D" class neighborhoods in any of those cities and you'll get double digit returns on properties under $75k

Ford is probably the fastest in my expericence but does not do subject-to dealsRowley is good overall.
