Your enthusiasm is good, look at the advice thats been given and aply what is useful, first doing auctions are a little more complicated than they seem.

One gets the feeling that nobody wants to do anything that would decrease the enthusiasm of the tourists. 

I want to be able to connect with people in my local market that have an enthusiasm for real estate.My goal is to help people find affordable and comfortable housing with as many modern amenities as possible.

. $200k on six STRs is cool and all, and I am not discounting your enthusiasm or success, however, I can sell $20M in Real Estate and at typical (3%) commission make $600k...however my NOI is nowhere near that $600k.
