Part of that negotiation will be for them to pay your broker, or simply lower the price enough for you to pay your broker directly.Some FSBO sellers have an allergic reaction to buyer brokers, in which case you may offer to work with directly, without having your broker between you and them.

I'm sure there's nice areas to live in, but I'm just allergic to traffic.

My initial reaction was to get them out and get rid of section 8 ASAP.

@Andrew Syrios I agree entirely although let's be honest, we are in uncharted territory with interest rates being so low for so long, and no one knows for sure what the reaction will be to a rate hike.  

I am not aware of it being confidential unless you have agreed to those terms....maybe a pm can chime in...But a clever person may be able to get your name and contact info through an assessor database or other public source ..As to your question, I find tenants that leave owing you money tend to have just the opposite reaction (more flight than fight)..

so what'd you offer and more importantly, what was her reaction :) 

Once we finally got her the phone after a few days, she claimed that no one challenges appraisals and if we wanted to be difficult - we could take our business elsewhere.Has anyone every experienced a reaction like this before?  

And the reaction of on site landlord has been totally mixed from "awesome" to "I have never lived with a landlord onsite".
