My biggest investor is out of Singapore.. for instance.  

What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing so and investing overseas (I'm currently in Singapore)?

Basically to live in CA one need to have good job and good education, not much different than living in hongkong or singapore.

one of the pro tips though is Alaska partners with Cathay  and for 100k miles you can get business to the Orient.. so have done that multiple times to singapore etc.. but we use our miles for crossing the ponds  not domestic..  

Although most every country has some issues of some sort no place is perfect except maybe Singapore PS as a young agent I flew to Hong Kong to meet with some Asian investors  Circa 1982 ish  and it was amazing although I had many transactions under my belt i was still very green to the world of high finance etc..

The rest live in other states (California mostly) and other countries (mostly Hong Kong or Singapore).
