I'm so used to always packing my screw driver and misc tools bag I was packing them for my work trip.....Yes whenever we go to one of our places we are fixing stuff, or hiring people to fix stuff, or writing down stuff to fix in the future.....But we do take time to relax too.

Then double that to get rough labor, That's $80k for framing......Note - I built in a little ritzy town in SoCal much fancier and costly than your area, but the costs should be pretty close....Hope this helps.I just paid my lumber pack for a home in Lake Oswego Or i am building  3k sq ft includes truss's  75k  framing was 8 bucks a foot ( complicated house with strong walls ( metal ) so 24k for framing nails and window sets.. 

The house is clearly abandoned, as the power box is disconnected, AC is removed and someone clearly packed up the stuff. 

Next will be developing a new build RV park with an SBA loan.

I as a REI was a contrarian. 2010,11,12 it was about a false bottom, false recovery, and that the dollar was about to go to $0, a W recovery, and the country falling apart and that one should be prepping, buying food packs NOT doing REI.     

Many builders have decided to pack up and leave the islands (like the Spencer 'Ohana) after spending decades building affordable homes.

@Kristi Kandel I don’t know a lot about roads or to what level you would have to build it to just make it a driveway but I just used ledge pack gravel in an 8 car parking lot and driveway that all in would have been at least 120’ long and in about 60’ two car widths wide and with delivery, cost of the gravel, and cost for the bobcat to spread the materials and pack them down it was all in about $1000.

Purchased with plan to live in permanently, put it as a STVR while traveling in our RV during the pandemic, and it did so well as a STVR that we decided to keep it as a rental and buy another cabin in Yosemite as our primary residence.

I rent out a little mother-in-law apartment in my house, as well as a couple RV pads on my property.

At this point I just wanted to pack up my stuff and go home.
